Juan- I managed to get a video of mine using Screen VCR (for free from download.com) which allows you to set a viewport on your screen and record it. Unfortunately, it leaves a very ugly icon in the corner which is only removed by purchasing it. Maybe someone else can find a more elegant solution...

 

How would we run this on a webpage without carnivore running?-juan

 

Hey everyone, I don't know if we've made any decisions about formally posting our clients online...I would love to see it happen though, should I start a page on the wiki? -

Please feel free to tidy up around the wiki, and finish any documentation asked of you on your areas of the wiki, you are more than welcome to do that. I will be compiling a page for my own website sometime soon. Thomas

 

 

i will be on campus around 6:00, we will meet to look at carnivore clients at 7:30, please make your source available by cd or download by 7:30., include .swf, .fla, .as and any other necessary files.

Thomas - I'm wondering how you wanted us to submit our work - would a CD with both projects (the .fla files and the SimpleClient.as file, for the final one) or should we upload the projects, or will we meet on Thursday to present?

thomas, what do i do when i try to test my flash file and it connects to flickr but when i do a search it stalls and says

i havent gotten Carnivore to work either...whoever figures it out, please post instructions

We will go over implementing carnivore in class on thursday. You can also post your questions to the carnivore help forum though you will need to be more specific about your system settings, what you have done, what it does or doesn't do. If you need to see the format of data to determine your project direction you can see it on the r-s-g website - packet format- Professor Kearns

 

 

cool! Im not sure where you found that but hopefully that will be it. last step now is to find a router....

i think i remember thomas using carnivore in class w/ wireless so i think its possible w/out one....

yup. matt and i have it working but you have to plug in. only thomas's magic computer can do it on wireless. ps. i dont think the telnet command line stuff is nessesary>
